The Vittoria Terreno T50 is a mixed-condition gravel tire built for riders who regularly move between hardpack, loose gravel, and rougher back roads.

It sits between fast semi-slick gravel tires and full knobby options—offering controlled rolling speed with noticeably more bite when surfaces get unpredictable.

Key Functional Details

  • 700x45 gravel tire designed for mixed gravel conditions
  • Densely packed, low-profile hex tread down the center for efficiency
  • Larger transition knobs and defined corner lugs for added traction while turning
  • Graphene Endurance compound for long wear and consistent grip in changing weather
  • 100 TPI nylon endurance casing balances durability with ride compliance
  • Integrated anti-puncture belt beneath the tread
  • Additional sidewall protection and bead shielding for back-road reliability
  • Tubeless Ready folding bead (TBLS)
  • E-bike rated E50 (approved for e-bikes up to 50 km/h)
  • Approx. weight: 545g

Compatibility & Technical Notes

  • Size: 700x45 (ISO 622)
  • Tubeless Ready — requires tubeless-compatible rims, tubeless valves, sealant, and proper installation
  • Can be run with tubes if needed, but optimized for tubeless use
  • E50 rated for gravel and e-bike applications within manufacturer limits
  • Best suited to gravel frames with true clearance for 45mm tires
  • Not intended for deep mud or aggressive trail riding
  • Always verify frame and fork clearance before installing a 45mm tire

Service / Ownership Context

This is a dependable everyday gravel tire for riders who see varied terrain. When set up tubeless and aired correctly, it offers solid puncture protection and predictable handling. Like most gravel tires, pressure choice makes or breaks performance.

Fit & Use Signals

  • Good fit if: You ride mixed gravel—hardpack, loose sections, and rough back roads.
  • Good fit if: You want more cornering confidence than a slick-style gravel tire without going full knobby.
  • Good fit if: Your bike clears 700x45 tires comfortably.
  • Not a fit if: Your riding is mostly pavement and smooth rail trail.
  • Not a fit if: Your frame maxes out below 45mm tire clearance.
This is the tire we usually recommend when someone says “I ride a little bit of everything.” It’s more aggressive than a Terreno T10, but not a mud tire. Think mixed gravel, farm roads, chunky hardpack, and loose corners—not sloppy spring mud. First thing we always check is clearance. A real 700x45 on modern rims can grow wider than expected. Frames that claim “45mm max” are often tight once you factor in rim width and mud. We like at least a few extra millimeters of breathing room. Tubeless installs pretty easily on most gravel rims, but the belted casing can be stiff. Needs a good air blast and fresh sealant. Riders who try to shortcut sealant or reuse old stuff usually come back complaining about slow leaks. What riders love: predictable corner grip, quieter and faster than full knobbies, holds up well to mileage. What they complain about: still not enough bite in wet mud, and not as fast as a slick-style gravel tire on pavement. That’s the tradeoff. We see these most on endurance gravel bikes and e-gravel setups. The E50 rating makes it a solid choice for e-gravel riders who chew through lighter tires too quickly. Common mistake: running road pressures. At 45mm, pressures need to be much lower, especially tubeless. Too much air makes it harsh and sketchy. Too little invites rim strikes and sidewall damage. Durability is good for an all-around gravel tire. Tread usually lasts, sidewalls are what fail first if pressures are wrong or riders curb-hop. If someone rides mostly smooth surfaces, we steer them toward T10. If they ride looser or rougher terrain, we move them to something chunkier. Mechanic advice: this is a solid middle-ground gravel tire. Buy it if your routes are genuinely mixed. Skip it if you’re pavement-heavy or riding mud season all year.

Natural Dunlop Latex Topper Has Multiple Uses
Size: Twin XL 2"
This is a well made, high quality, 2” thick piece of all-natural latex. You can use it on top of any bed to provide a nice, comfortable mattress topper that has a medium-firm feel to it. It gives good support for those who sleep on their back and on their sides. The latex topper springs back and sleeps cooler than memory foam toppers, which compress and generally sleep hot. Latex toppers cost more upfront than memory foam toppers, but they can last twice as long. I built a custom-made all-natural latex bed that was too soft and didn’t provide enough support. I removed a 2” thick piece of ultra soft (#14) Talalay latex inside the bed and replaced it with this 2” thick piece of Dunlop latex for more support. I then used the Talalay latex on top as a mattress topper and now my bed is perfect! Once you’ve slept on all- natural latex, you’ll never want to go back to artificial memory foam.

Discovered latex and thrilled
Size: Queen
Bought a Beautyrest mattress in late 2021 that now is uncomfortable and has dips. Beautyrest would reject the 10 year warranty due to a single stain on mattress (based on their policy), so I didn't even bother. So, I pondered if I should order a new one and which one. In the process I found out latex toppers may save the day. Talatex medium firm mattress in queen size was received within a week and a half and installed on top of existing Beautyrest mattress. Since then, no pain in hips, no sweating at night, no neck problems. My daughter tested it one night with me, and since then wants to sleep on my bed and not hers, so this is really reviewed by two people. Excellent product!! Has a bounce but you don't sink in it (two mattresses ago, I had a 13" high end high density visco elastic memory foam mattress where sinking into it happened). When I can afford, I will buy a 4" latex topper firm and install that under the existing 2" Talatex medium firm over a slatted base. I'll do away completely w/ the mattress I'm using now.

Does not provide much pressure relief
Size: Queen
It does keep you cooler/neutral. It needs to be a little denser. When you are on it, it goes pretty flat. It does help some but my hip needs a little more support that this offers. Be aware, the cover has a coating of fire retardant. We asked them to send one without the toxic chemicals. (Personal choice)

Forget about the memory foam!
Size: Twin 3 Inches
My sleep quality is fantastic on this thing, and I don’t even sweat like a memory foam cover! I was scared to spend the money but I’m glad I did! It’s really helped my back and overall pain, as it rises to fit the empty spaces left by flat firm mattresses.

Pretty Good
Size: Queen
The product arrived at my street address instead of my PO Box address last minute - without me getting prior notice that it was to large to be delivered to post office. Not sure why the seller did not notify me and let me know what was happening. The quality of the latex topper itself is good, covering nice with a zipper to take off and wash. There was no smell after about 5 minutes of coming out of the packaging. I am using it as extra padding for a new mattress which is pretty firm. After sleeping on it last night it helped just enough - perhaps someone who needs a little more cushioning should get the 3" topper version.
